Just before Christmas, The Phantom Band, hosted a two night extravaganza in Glasgow's Stereo with some great bands, and a dark Christmas panto running throughout. Dark not only in content, but also in the revelation of Ally McCrae's cross-dressing affliction (see below). Sadly I was only able to make it along to the first night to see Muscles of Joy (more to come about them soon!), Holy Mountain (best live band that unequivocally prove that guitar music is not dead, stupid journos!) and, of course, The Phantoms themselves. Great night that proved a nice change from the host of 'Christmas Special' gigs that just featured some tinsel and mistletoe on a drum kit. Well done Phantom Band for keeping things interesting!
