Learning

In photography terms, I've never been in a formal learning environment. Friends taught me the basics and got me going and I trawled websites taking in as much information as I could.

This approach means that while I do know my way about my camera, there are some holes in my knowledge that I sometimes become glaringly aware of. As with everything in life, it's a constant learning curve. To this end, tonight I'm starting my first 'proper' photography class. Little nervous at going back to a classroom environment, it's been a while! Sure I'll be posting up some of my homework over the coming months.

Not sure why I chose this picture to accompany the post, it's an old one from January last year. It's on the front page of my website which I'm in the process of updating, so it might be demoted fairly soon.
