2012 - Well that was good wasn't it?!

2012-17.jpg

The now ubiquitous blog documenting the year past. There's not really any way I can gush about how great this year has been for me. First full year of self employment, it's been a blast. So, I'll leave the sentimental words for some poor soul post whisky this evening. These are some of my favourite photos from the year. As photographers, we're told to remove ourselves emotionally when choosing / editing photographs. I've taken the liberty here of doing the opposite. For one reason or another, these photos aren't necessarily my best, but my favourites.

Leave a comment with your favourite and I'll do a random selector and send someone a print of their favourite.

Thanks for reading / looking / commenting / working with / hiring / being great. You are great.

Happy New Year E x Kobi Onyame (x3)

Tame Impala. One of my albums of the year. Pleasure to shoot. One of the most hospitable touring bands I've ever encountered.

Eh...that's Mike Skinner pal (and Rob Harvie, of course)

Palma Violets. Riding a massive wave of hype, I was sceptical but loved this show.

Childhood. So, so wasted. Lovely guys and great band.

I first heard Midnight Organ Fight in a car driving down the coast and have loved these guys more and more ever since. Don't think any other band just now makes me love music as much as these guys.

West Highland Way. Don't do it!

Wickerman. Where good people go to lose their mind.

Old faithful TITP. Wet. Muddy. Bring it on!

Hector Bizerk. Two of the most talented and brilliant people I've met. Their album launch at King Tuts was one of the best gigs I've seen.

Heroes of mine for years. Humbled to be on stage shooting their headline slot at Rockness in June. Highlight of my year. Still blows my mind thinking about it.

All round great guy and talented MF Ryuki Akira.

DZ Deathrays. Just after going for a chippy with these guys for Detour, shot them on my first assignment for NME.

Twin Atlantic - That gent McTrusty backstage at Tuts
