Lauren Mayberry in Glasgow
Thirteen years ago. By my check is the first time I photographed Lauren Mayberry, playing with Blue Sky Archives, somewhere in Glasgow (I think Nice N Sleazys).
Time has shifted the world underneath us since then. Just a bit.
Most recently it was the Barrowlands with CHVRCHES, this time, her first solo show in Glasgow at SWG3.
The evolution is remarkable. The range of music, the stage presence and performance. Her voice! It all comes together beautifully with this show. And she’s playing with a mad skilled band!
Nights like this make me remember exactly why I fell in love with photographing shows, so so long ago!
