The greatest part of photography for me, is the access it grants me to places most people don’t get to see.

Art:Work is a self started personal project, documenting artists of all types in the spaces that inspire them.

For some, it’s their working studio.

For many, it’s nature.

For some, it’s just the chaos of the front room. Mr Potato Head & all.

The way that people create is as individual as the work that they make. I’m privileged to have spent time with some of Scotland’s most notable artists while working on this series. From authors and playwrights, to painters and musicians.

This is an ongoing project, that will hopefully keep my own creativity flowing for a long time as I find inspiration in the work of these fascinating subjects.
